Are you tired of spending a fortune on networking cables every time you set up a new office?
Doesn’t it seem like the people who set those things up by running networking cables through the walls don’t know a
thing about what they are going to be used for?
Well, if one networking cable is never enough, even though it always seems like that is what you
have to work with, then the RJ45 splitter might be your golden ticket to a more stress-free workday.
Basically, you take two RJ45 splitters (they do not work by themselves, you need to split both
ends of the cable in order for it to work), plug them into the sockets that you would normally plug your networking
cable into, and you can then make two cables out of one single one.
As you can see, these can not only save you a lot of money (cables are not cheap, after all),
but they can really cut down on time. For example, you are setting up and office, and you realize that you need two
more networking cables.
Well, you might not have time to run to the store, but if you had a couple RJ 45 splitters
in your work bag, you could easily whip out a few and make a couple extra cables with them! Then, you can replace
the splitters later with real cables, or just leave them in and use them!
Having four or six of these babies in your brief case is never a bad idea, especially if you set
up a lot of mobile offices or go to different departments to work for a week.
The one misconception that a lot of people make about RJ45 splitters is that they are able to be
used as hubs. This is definitely not the case! They are splitters, which means that they cannot work by themselves,
except in extremely rare circumstances.
You need two of them, one for each end of the cable, in order for them to be effective. And all
they do is provide you with a virtual extra cable....they do not provide a network connection to everything plugged
in.
If you are going to buy some RJ 45 splitters for your office or home, make sure to remember a
few things. First of all, remember that you at least need to order one set of them (two), or they will be useless
to you. And if you want more than that, order them in groups of two.
So, in other words, order two, or four, or six, or eight, or ten. Order in even numbers so that
they are always in pairs. If one breaks down on you, then you will have another to keep as a spare, but don’t
worry.....these little babies are hardy, and you will probably not suffer many breakdowns, especially if you buy a
high-quality brand. An RJ45 splitter is a must for any home or office, so order yours today!
